OCR is currently seeking a Principal Moderator for the Health and Social Care Cambridge Advanced National to cover the following areas:

 

F092: Person-centred approach to care

F093: Supporting people with mental health conditions

F094: Supporting people with long term physiological conditions

F095: Investigating public health

F096: Supporting people in relation to sexual health, pregnancy and postnatal health

F097: Supporting healthy nutrition and lifestyles

The Principal Moderator for each subject will monitor and ensure the standard of moderators throughout the moderation period. The Profile for this task provides details about the specific activities involved. In addition, the Principal Moderator will be required for some ad hoc tasks before first teach, to include: 

 

  • Overseeing the production of Candidate Style Work to ensure that the standard is set (as far as possible) and in line with the first live series.

  • Writing a commentary for the Candidate Style Work.

  • Assisting with teaching and learning resource production, including e-learning content. 

  • Assisting with or delivering training/Professional Development.  

 

You will need appropriate subject and assessment expertise within the UK education system and the ability to lead and motivate a large team responsible for carrying out visiting moderations at centres across England. Excellent communication skills and the ability to use IT systems and applications confidently is essential.

 

Please note, if you are involved in the production of live material you cannot undertake training development or training delivery tasks for OCR.
