Cambridge International O Level History (Brunei) 2171/01 Item Bank Chair MCQ
Worldwide
Cambridge International is growing and over 10,000 schools in more than 170 countries are now part of our Cambridge International learning community.
To support our continued growth worldwide, we are expanding our examiner network, and inviting teachers to develop their professional practice by becoming a Cambridge International assessor.
We currently have an opportunity for an Item Bank Chair for the O Level History (Brunei) 2171/01.
Tasks will include reviewing draft items and giving feedback, chairing editing meetings, constructing tests from the item bank, reviewing the item bank and commissioning new items. A key part of the chair’s role is the management of the team of item writers. The chair provides feedback to item writers and chairs the editing meetings. The ability to communicate effectively with tact and sensitivity are important skills in this management. The Chair will have the ability to organise their work effectively, be comfortable using an online authoring tool such as CCMS, and to track the work of the item writing team. This makes sure tasks are completed on time and the assessment production process can be completed in the required time frame. Although the chair may not be a practising teacher they should be aware of current classroom practice and subject developments.
Requirements are that applicants will:
- have relevant subject knowledge
- have knowledge of working with MCQs
- have strong administrative skills: including CCMS
- have good team management skills
- have a degree in History (or a related subject)
- be a good team player
- be able to give and receive feedback professionally
Successful applicants will have:
- a keen eye for detail
- the ability to work well under pressure
- the ability to keep to deadlines
