To support our continued growth worldwide, we are expanding our examiner network, and inviting teachers to develop their professional practice by becoming a Cambridge Examiner for components 01 and 04 for AS & A Level Drama.


Requirements are that applicants will:

  • have a degree in Drama or English with relevant further training, practical theatre experience and/or postgraduate study
  • hold a PGCE or equivalent 
  • have a minimum of three years teaching experience
  • become familiar with the ten set texts listed in the syllabus (component 01)
  • need to read candidate essays of a wide range of theatre (component 04)
  • have a PC/Mac, fast broadband and IT skills 
  • be available for meetings during weekdays twice a year

As part of the application process we may require applicants to undertake a marking task. More information on this will be sent to you once your application has been processed. 

 

As an examiner you will be marking a specific number of scripts in line with approved marking instructions and to the required standard. For more information on the role of an examiner please visit our website. There will be payment per script marked.

If you are applying from India you will be engaged and paid through Cambridge University Press and Assessment India Private Ltd. (CUPAIPL)

If you are applying from outside the UK and there is requirement to attend training in the UK expenses will only be paid for travel within the UK.
