Requirements are that applicants will:
- have a PC/Mac, fast broadband and IT skills in order to attend online meetings
- be a good team player
- be able to respond to feedback professionally
Successful applicants will have:

- the ability to work well under pressure
- the ability to keep to deadlines
All applicants for the Setter role are required to complete an associated exercise (details below):
Produce a selection of items, mark schemes, specification grid to cover these:
- One or more items that tests candidates’ skills in Object Oriented Programming using Python.
- One or more item that tests candidate’s skills in creating practical algorithms that use HTML, CSS.
- One or more items that tests candidate’s ability to make use of a built-in SQL database engine (e.g. SQLite)
- One or more items that test candidate’s ability to create a Python web application using a web application development framework (e.g Flask).
All items must be:
- fit for purpose, i.e. valid, reliable, and error free
- consistent with the requirements of the specification
- mapped/targeted (as appropriate) to
- assessment objectives/assessment criteria/learning outcomes
- level of demand/grades
- specification content/coverage
- in line with Equality Act requirements
- as inclusive as possible, using appropriate language

The deadline for applications is 02 February 2025
Successful candidates may be expected to attend online meeting to scrutinise the paper. (usually occurring between February and March). This meeting can take one or two hours.
